Hi All, Could you please let me know how to solve this question? Thanks in advance.

If Y ≥ 0, what is the value of X?
1. │X- 3│≥ Y
2. │X - 3│≤ - Y
Statement (1)
|x-3| greater than or equal to y .
This implies, either (x-3) is greater than y
i.e x is greater than y+3
OR
(3-x) is greater than y
i.e x is lesser than 3-y
Hence, x is between (3+y) and (3-y).
Insufficient. BCE
Statement(2)
|x-3| less than or equal to -y, this equation does not hold true for any value of non negative y except y = 0 ( because for any real no x, |x-3| is zero or greater than zero ) and the statement then translates to |x-3| = 0, hence x =3
Sufficient...
Hence (B)
