Three things I really like in your profile are 1. your GMAT 2. Female candidate :) 3. Direct connection with the CEO. All of these will look REALLY good in helping you stick out from the crows (and of course you need to do still MORE to work on this, but it's a great start with!)

Which schools to go for?

Although of course if you get a good MBA from any good general management program , there are still some schools that come up time and time again when we think of strong energy programs or specializations or links to the Energy industry like Stanford, Haas, the Texas schools (Rice, McCombs), and Duke.

Stanford has the Precourt Institute for Energy:
https://pie.stanford.edu/

Haas has an emphasis on Energy and Clean Technology:
https://mba.haas.berkeley.edu/academics/energy.html

Duke has a concentration in Energy and Environment: https://www.fuqua.duke.edu/edge/education/mba_ee/

McCombs @ Austin has two energy research centers, and specialization in energy finance:
https://www.mccombs.utexas.edu/Centers/CEFER/
https://www.mccombs.utexas.edu/centers/emic
(and being in Texas don't hurt none, neither)

Rice @ Houston has an energy concentration:
https://business.rice.edu/Degree_Concent ... spx#tabs-2
Also, being located in the city where the majority of the Energy supermajors have their main HQ will definitely be a plus when it comes to internship or job-seeking time.

so that is where I would start plus add any other Top 10 school that appeals to you for other reasons (location fit etc.)

H/s/w will still be reaches, but at the others you would be more or less competitive.

In a "nutshell", what you need to do is to assemble all of your work and academic experience and do two things with it.

1. Build a profile of a shooting star - what they want to see most is a prior history of constant and extreme success which will be an indication of your future success.

2. Passionate, logical and great career story - Not only should your past be "awesome" but it should all be leading you somewhere very specific - your dream/goals/ambitions. This is the core around which your application will revolve.

Besides these two things, there's a LOT more "nitty-gritty" to get into, of course... but that should start you thinking, hopefully.
