I just heard from the last school to which I had applied. I was accepted into a top 20 part-time program (avg. score 615-620) with a 540 GMAT score! For those of you who have been in the workforce for a number of years, you CAN get into your program of choice with a lower GMAT score if the rest of your profile is strong. I did it; so can you! (I refused to take the GMAT a second time because it already had sucked away too much of my life.)

Ironically, because of my low GMAT score, I checked out some other programs and found another school I liked better. I am now enrolled for fall 2008.

Good luck, everyone! :) The GMAT can only beat you if you let it.

I would love to hear how you got into a top 20 part time program with a 540 gmat. My top score is a 540 as of now and I can't believe I'm attempting to apply with that score. My self-esteem is at an all time low now.

540 is not a problem, last year I was accepted to Rotman MBA with 560. The only question is that with this score you are very unlikely to recieve any finantial aid (that was my problem) and will pay for your education.
