Yes. Forget the meaning, E is not grammatically correct in the first place.

E. A block of multimedia text differs from a paragraph in a linear narrative that the work is necessarily fragmented.

Here (in Ethat is acting as pronoun, referencing narrative, and is followed by a clause.

A is correct: The intended meaning of the original sentence is to show how (ie. in what way) multimedia text differs from a paragraph.

I agree with the explanation given below.

Can you please explain why B is wrong and had been another option

B is wrong because the relationship intended in the question is not causal. Sentence doesn't intend to discuss WHY the block of multimedia text differs from a paragraph. The sentence intends to tell HOW a block of multimedia text differs from a paragraph.

In fact, in option B, the term 'since' is used to mean 'because', but still it is wrong.
