The main reason that applies to all the options is that 'Dispose' and 'Dispose of' differ in meaning. Here the required term is 'dispose of'.confuse mind wrote:After July, anyone disposing of or servicing refrigerators must capture the chlorofluorocarbons in the refrigerant chemicals.
(A) anyone disposing of or servicing
(B) those who dispose or service
(C) anyone disposing of or who services >> 'disposing of' and 'services' not parallel.
(D) the disposal or repair of >> Changes the intended meaning. disposal or repair can't capture CFC.
(E) someone who disposes or repairs
OA - A. Please explain all the options and the reasons for eliminations. Thanks

Hi Vinayak,
I got a bit confused.
The information on the link seems to be contradicting.
Could you help me overcome this confusion -
1. "Dispose of" is used when one wants to get rid of something
2. "Dispose of" is also used when referring to a deal
I could not find when is "Dispose" (Without of) is used?

Well, even I am not that familiar with the word 'dispose'; I've always used it with 'of'.Mission2012 wrote:Hi Vinayak,

The oxford dictionary says that 'dispose' means arrange something in a particular order, or to make somebody behave in a particular way
Eg: a drug that disposes the patient towards sleep

(A) anyone disposing of or servicing - follows parallelism
(B) those who dispose or service - idiom dispose of
(C) anyone disposing of or who services - non parallel structure
(D) the disposal or repair of - disposal of
(E) someone who disposes or repairs - disposes of
