LSAT LR Qs good for GMAT CR?

Hi Experts,
A lot of people say that LSAT LR Questions are not a representative of the CR Questions you see on GMAT.
For eg, teh following is a LSAT LR Q

Some planning committee members-- those representing the construction industry-- have significant financial interests in the committee's decisions. No one who is on the planning committee lives in the suburbs, although many of them work there.

If the statements above are true, which one of the following must also be true?

a. No persons with significant financial interests in the planning committee's decisions are not in the construction industry.

b. No person who has a significant financial interest in the planning commettee's decisions lives in the suburbs.

c. Some persons with significant financial interests in the planning committee's decisions work in the suburbs.

d. Some planning committee members who represent the construction industry do not work in the suburbs.

e. Some persons with significant financial interests in the planning committee's decisions do not live in the suburbs.

I have found most of the times LSAT LR Questions are tough.

Just need your opinion if we could use LSAT LR Questions for our study? If they are not going to be a representative of the GMAT Qs , it seriously would be waste of time banging our head over them..

Hi Sachinda,

I'd recommend avoiding LSAT Logical Reasoning. The underlying skills are similar, but several question types (most notably Parallel Arguments) are common on the LSAT but rare or nonexistent on the GMAT. Additionally, LSAT Inference questions focus much more heavily on Formal Logic (if-then statements) than do GMAT Inference questions, and the LSAT occasionally requires students to distinguish Necessary and Sufficient assumptions--something the GMAT never does.

Hope this helps!
