shifts in ocean temperature is clearer than ocean temperature shifts
by little as -> Wrong.
by as little as -> Correct.
In D and E that nonsensically refers to capability, implying capability will register the temperature.
I think C is correct.

A is incorrect because 'capable to' is in correct in this context.
someone is capable of doing something or someone has capabilities to do something seems to be correct.
Vinni, I hope it helps why C is better than A

What about (A) ? Doesn't it look parallel ?vk_vinayak wrote: new buoys will be deployed and new buoys will be capable of registering are parallel.

The only difference them is "to register" and "of registering."
Can anyone please explain how to eliminate (A)

Didn't saw your post above.
As you said, It is incorrect in this context. I was thinking "capable of" as an idiom. The example you have mentioned shows the difference between "a noun" and "an adjective"
Is "to used with a noun" such as "capability to" and "of used with an adjective" such as "capable of" ?
Please clarify.

It's a matter of idioms: the expression "capable of" is correct, while "capable to" is not.vinni.k wrote:What about (A) ? Doesn't it look parallel ?vk_vinayak wrote: new buoys will be deployed and new buoys will be capable of registering are parallel.
