Hi,

I am applying to some schools in the US this year but I may use a little help here deciding about where to apply ?

I am an engineer (IT) by my undergrad education and have about 3 yrs of work experience.

I am looking for schools that are known for placing graduates in technology industry. I want to go into strategic planning or business development for a major technology company (such as google)

The colleges i have on my list are :

1) UCB -Haas and UCLA Anderson : reason - california (plz tell me if my reasoning here is right for both the schools)

2) CMU Tepper : Strong focus on Quantitative learning and also, they have a separate technology leadership track ( I'm assuming it's for targeting tech companies )

3) Darden UVA : Solely for the case method ( as I want to go into strategy and this particular style of teaching appeals to me )

Please let me know if i need to add any other school or remove any from the list.

Thanks

Ah! Technology!
There are so many great schools out there which send folk into Tech.
The schools you mentioned are great.
Let's add Stanford (if you got the credentials :) ) to your list, McCombs and Georgia Tech too. Sloan can be nice for the MIT connections.

But that having been said, Tech has become so generalized that ANY good program which appeals to you is also likely to work.

Thanks for the reply! :)

I felt tempted to look into McCombs but considering the fact that it's in Texas ( and not West coast), would it still be a good school for careers in software/internet/computers tech sector?

I have same apprehensions about Tepper and Darden - too far from West coast.

Please tell me if I'm thinking on the wrong lines here or am i assuming a lot ?

Btw.. I am an international applicant (from India) so my understanding about the US may be a little outdated :)
