Total Population

what is population of the village
1. 7/11 of the village comprises of married people
2. 200 widows comprises 10% of the singles population
(A) 5060
(B) 6000
(C) 6050
(D) 5000
(E) 7000

Let the population of the village be N.

1:
7N/11 people are married. 4N/11 are unmarried or single.

2:
200 widows and 2000 singles.

4N/11 = 2000
N = 5500

There's something wrong, especially with the language of the second Statement.
Is it a Verbal cum Math question where you have to correct the language of the second statement first and then solve it mathematically?

I got the same solution- 5500

But its not given as an option...
