Hi,
I am trying to decide between going to UVA this year or reapplying to schools in the fall. I took the GMAT twice this fall and went from a 630 to a 740. The only catch is that I improved in early January just before 2nd round deadlines. I did not have time to adjust my target set of schools based on my new scores and only finished and submitted my application to Darden. Based on discussions with many people I elected to not submit applications in the 3rd round given the competition. My question is do you think the experience and reputation of Darden is worth going now as opposed to waiting next year and trying to go to another program?
My profile:
William and Mary Undregrad - Finance and Government double major. 3.24 gpa
GMAT - 740 (48 M, 44V)
5 years work experience at private equity fund of funds with solid leadership examples and promotion
Sit on a non-profit board of directors; regional alumni network board member; Big Brother and SPCA volunteer; Eagle Scout
One other factor is that I live in virginia and grew up here and think an experience outside of VA would be helpful.
I appreciate any thoughts.
Darden or Wait a year?

Hi ricwm5985,
Your application is greatly improved with an increase in GMAT score from 630 to 740. Attending business school is a big decision and there are many factors in deciding to attend. Is there a particular school you are more interested in attending?
As a note, we provide free 30 minute phone consultations here: https://www.stacyblackman.com/contact/
