Hi,

I have a 710 GMAT (Q 50, V 35). I am from India and have about 4 years of experience in consulting. Would you recommend retaking the GMAT for applying to top 15 schools or is 700+ ok and would not be considered as a negative? I have a 5 year integrated bachelors and Masters degree in technology with GPA of 8.9 / 10.

Thanks

Hi Anuj,

If you believe you can improve your score by 40+ points, it may be worth taking the exam again, however you do have a strong score. Top MBA admissions teams will now be more focused on other aspects of your application - your work experience, recommendations, etc. You should not be concerned that a 710 will be a negative on your application.

Best,
