mukul's blog is gem.
great advise he has posted there. & very neat work he s done
I am sure what he has posted there is not a bluff
when he said : You can only use 6 scratch papers for rough work.
he meant while practicing in simulated environment try to restrict yourself to
6 scratch paper.
maxim730 is right 8)

hi all,
i just called the pearsons test center and they said you can use as many scratch papers as you want.
in fact they give you a notepad of 5 pages initially and you can ask for as many as you want.
thanks for all your responses.

You are given one spiral-bound packet of 5 pieces of legal sized (8.5 x 14 inches) yellow laminated graph paper and one pen. One of the sheets has instructions on one side, so you have a total of 9 faces on which to write. You can get a new packet ONLY by turning in the old packet, but you can do this as many times as you want.
I recommend getting used to using 9 sheets for one entire section (eg, math). When you go out for your break between math and verbal, turn in your used packet for a new one. Then use the new, clean packet for verbal. This way, you don't have to interrupt yourself in the middle of the test.
When you request a new scrap sheet packet, also request a new pen if yours has started to wear down. (If you don't press very hard when you write, you'll be fine, but if you press hard, the nib might start to flatten out and make it harder to write.
You cannot erase anything (the laminated paper is wet-erase only) - but that's okay, b/c you shouldn't waste time on the test erasing anything anyway.

I am so happy for BeattheGMAT.com that you ( from ManhattanGMAT.com ) are here.
Your replies are flawless and clear all doubts, Stacey.
Thanks
... I knew that they, of course, provide unlimited blank sheets. but i also heard somewhere sometime back that they provide erasable scratch papers like what maxim730 said...
Anyways thanks venkb & Stacey.
