Hi

Seriously speaking the scores are skewed. Verbal is hurting you.

If you want to have a shot at the top 20, get it mended.

Reappear and come back. You will definitely cross 700 as well.

Rest all looks fine.

Dont look further and just book a date.

Best of Luck.

There are over a hundred U.S. schools where you may have a shot with your numbers (your number of years of work experience is fine). Most of these schools are not especially good or are strong only locally. One strategy you could use is to aim for lower-ranked businesss schools that are located in strong job markets, e.g., U. Santa Clara, U. Illinois Chicago, IIT (Chicago), U. of Houston, U. Mass. Boston, S.F. State etc. -- you should have a decent shot at all these schools, but be sure your TOEFL score is high enough.

Thanks,
Well that depends on YOU! As Paul pointed out, there ARE plenty of places you can apply to and expect to get accepted. but, at the same time they aren't the best programs out there. Are you fine going to a small time MBA and getting the salary and opportunities that come with? Or would you prefer to hold out for something stronger, and retake?

Hi Bhaven

We strongly recommend that you retake GMAT and improve your verbal section score and push your overall score to a 670+ or so.

That will strongly improve your chances of getting through decent schools e.g. rank 20-40 in US. GMAT score is important for you since you are coming from a technology background and generally applicants from this domain crack a good score.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for the replies. It will be good for me to reappear for the test. Having said that, if I end up getting a score of 630-650, then what?. Which score will be considered. Few of the universities i searched mentioned that will consider the high score. So is it true for all the universities?

Thanks,

The highest score is considered for all practical purposes.

Dont worry about 630 or 650, just prepare now.

Almost all universities consider the higher score irrespective of the attempt number.

Cheers

Hi Bhavenm,

Hi with this score you would be able to able to get into lower ranked University. If that is not an issue you should go with various ranking you can find online along criteria's that matter the most to you and create list of schools you want to attend.
If you want to apply to top schools then a score above 700 is advisable. Do let us know what you decided.
