Hi

Its a good school with a ranking between 25-50. They have small batch size and probably are one of the best colleges in Texas.

In my opinion TAMU is very good value for money if you are aiming finance/consulting jobs.

They handout good scholarships as well.

So best of luck.

Hi Sandeep,

Texas is a great school to apply to. As far as telling you the cons are concerned that could be evaluated once we know other schools you are comparing it with.
If this is the only school you are applying to then it's a good school to be a part of. All the best!

If you have any further query feel free to ask us :)

Texas A & M has send me this link for tuition & fee:

https://finance.tamu.edu/sbs/tuition/wizard/

According to the link, 18 credit hours cost is $11,272.91. Does it mean the cost for 49 credit hours (full prog.) cost will be $30,687.36/- ?

Also there is a small table at the bottom of the page, which gives you the program fee per Semester. which is $5000/sem for MBA program.

As an international student, i have to keep Housing and other living expenditures too in view. :(

Total direct costs (tuition and required fees) of the entire MBA program:
Resident: $27,890.00
Nonresident: $42,925.00
Recommended annual budget (Resident): $34,530.00
Recommended annual budget (Nonresident): $46,240.00

Its less when compared to others.

Cost of the MBA program and the starting salary are the two main factors

The Mays full-time MBA has high ROI potential because it is one of the few U.S. programs that's a year and a half, compared with two years for most U.S. programs. Total tuition and fees for Texas residents is less than $28,000, while out-of-state students pay about $43,000.

The most recent Mays MBA graduates went on to earn an average base salary of about $84,000 and an average signing bonus of some $11,000. The average base salary for students from the undergraduate program was around $47,000.

According to a very popular mag, Texas A&M's Mays Business School grad would earn back their investments more than three times faster than Harvard grads.

Texas A&M had the fastest return, in just under three and a half years. Mays is one of the few U.S. programs that is a year and a half in length, so the total expenses, at just under $70,000, are considerably lower than at most other schools.

Reasons for choosing Texas A&M -
1) Solid Consulting background, branding and recruiters in proximity
2) 16 month MBA
3) Amazing value for money
4) One of the best alumni n/w in the world
5) Good location (close to Houston, Austin, Dallas)

Broad and University of illinois are other good options when one is looking forward to business schools with good ROI. These are state universities and hence cant be matched in terms of ROI.

I am a female applicant from India.
I have got interview calls from Rotman School of management and Mays Business School.
I am done with my Rotman interview and have my Mays interview scheduled for 9 dec.
If I keep aside the huge difference in investment at these two schools, which school is a better option?

It is definitely a solid program. I have a friend who came away from his consulting internship with a Big 4 firm with an offer for low 6 figures with a 35k bonus.
