n is increased by 8

A number n is increased by 8. If the cube root of that result equals -0.5, what is the value of n?
(A) -15.625
(B) -8.794
(C) -8.125
(D) -7.875
(E) 421.875

n+8 = (-0.5)^3 = -.125
n = -8.125

(n+8)^1/3 = -0.5

Cube both sides, n+8= -.125 ; n=-8.125
