Clueless CR

Fermilab estimates that actual UFO landings happen about every 122 years, and any interplanetary UFO must have the energy signature of a nuclear missile. When a fully automated artificial intelligence encounters unforeseen stimuli, its response is unpredictable.

Which of the following conclusions can most properly be drawn, if the statements to the left are true, about a nuclear-missile defense system controlled by a fully automated artificial intelligence?

A. The system would respond incorrectly 122 years after becoming operational, and would start a war inadvertently.

B. The system would be destroyed by the energy from a UFO landing occurred in the Earth's atmosphere.
Unsupported; the passage says nothing about what is needed to destroy the system.

C. It would be impossible for the system to distinguish the energy of a UFO landing from the launch of a nuclear weapon.

D. Whether the system would respond incorrectly to the energy of a UFO landing would depend on the location of the landing.
Unsupported; the passage never considers location.

E. It is not certain what the system's response to the energy of a UFO landing would be, if its designers did not plan for such a contingency.

This question is a replica of an OG question. There is an OG question (dont remember the exact wording) which is related to meteorite crash on earth and automatic missile defense system. Sorry, don't have the book right now so can't tell u the exact no of that question.

As mentioned above it ia a replica of GMAT question.

I go with E.

E. It is not certain-unpredictable-what the system's response to the energy of a UFO landing would be, if its designers did not plan for such a contingency. -unforeseen stimuli-
The more you suffer before the test, the less you will do so in the test! :)
