Mr. Oduste owns two kinds of stock shares: r shares of stock x and r shares of stock y. stock x yields an annual dividend of 2%, while stick y yields an annual dividend of 6%. If mr. Oduste were to sell all of his shares of stock x and use that money to buy shares of stock y, by what percent would his annual dividend increase.



qa is a.

I was sure that answer C is correct. I plugged in numbers and cant understand how a can be solution. IF we dont know the actual values of of the stock, then the increases can be much different from case to case!

Help!
