Any tips on placement of the adverb "already" in this sentence (from MGMAT SC Ch. 7 Problem Set, #6):
She had already woken up when the phone rang. (Correct)
She already had woken up when the phone rang. (Is this wrong?)
Even though this is from the Verb Tense chapter, I think I'm still a little unclear on proper adverb placement.
Adverb placement "had already woken up" MGMAT SC
