How my GPA is valued ?

by Akirab » Thu Apr 14, 2011 9:28 pm
Hello, I consider applying MBA and have one concern.

My GPA - undergraduate is 3.3, and my graduate GPA is 2.9.
I got A for my thesis for master.

I know I should show good performance in GMAT or GRE.
Now I wonder how my GPA for MBA admission is calculated and affects.
May I know any idea how GPA is calculated - is it averaged or only one GPA is take into account ?

I really appreciate if you could help me.

Regards,

Dear Akirab,

Your undergraduate GPA stands alone, as does your graduate GPA. Both are important in your evaluation as an applicant for business school. You will submit transcripts from both degrees as part of your application as the admissions committees will want to see your performance in individual courses.

Good luck,
Lisa
