Hi greatman:

Welcome to the Beat The GMAT Community!

It sounds like you are at the beginning of your GMAT preparation--you have the luxury of having a few months to prep before your March test.

The first thing you should do is form a study strategy. I encourage you to visit my Beat The GMAT! Blog (https://beatthegmat.blocked) to get a sense of what one effective study strategy can look like. This strategy worked for me, but it may need to be taylored around your skills.

I would also encourage you to take a GMATPrep test (you said you used PowerPrep?), to get a sense of how you would perform on the GMAT right now. You can download GMATPrep from MBA.com.

During your preparation, I encourage you to be an active member of this GMAT community. It's a great way for you to learn from others and teach (another form of learning), as well as to stay accountable and interested in your studies.

Best of luck!

I think Barrons is good for GRE, but not GMAT.

For GMAT, stick to official materials as you have, plus GMATPrep as Eric said, and get Cracking the GMAT instead of Barrons. The tests and tips are better in my experience.

Manhattan GMAT SC Guide is considered the Bible of SC prep--if you are weak in this area, I highly recommend that you purchase this book.

Avoid the Barron's book
