What are my chances of getting into a top school given my recent gmat.
So I just retook the gmat and got a 730 48Q 42V. I am a bit disappointed since my verbal score dropped from 48. I just can't seem to get the math and verbal to come together in the same test. In all my practice tests I have never gotten as low as 42 so I feel like I could have done better (I excel at verbal). Right now I am wondering if I improve my chances at Harvard or Stanford by taking it again and getting a 760. Here are some other points on my profile, I will be curious to hear people's take.
I have a 3.82 in computer science from Stanford
4 years work experience 2 in investment banking and 2 in a web startup
Don't have a any extra curricular since school but had a ton in school.
I have overcome a learning disability (does this make me look good or bad)
What are my chances given recent gmat

Question with a question :People who pass out from ivy schools, don't their school's give them priority when they again want to join the school these schools for further studies?.It sure sounds strange cuz, they even prefer their alum's wards during admissions!

I do not think that 760 will improve your chances. Start writing and putting your efforts in the essay and that is what can make the difference.Jinglander wrote:What are my chances of getting into a top school given my recent gmat.
