Identify the information which points to a flaw in the argument below:

Thomas Edison made a vow, when he was a young child, that as an adult he would work with machines. Humanity should feel fortunate, because had Edison not made that vow, he would never have invented important machines such as the phonograph, movie projector, and lightbulb.

A
Other inventors of famous machines never made the same vow Edison made.
B
Thomas Edison may have invented things other than machines had he not made his vow.
C
Thomas Edison only invented machines that he dreamed up while still a child.
D
Thomas Edison may have become an inventor of machines even without making a vow as a child.
E
Edison's vow only referred to his working with machines, but not necessarily inventing them.

Tricky question though.

Author's conclusion was, if Edison hadn't made vow that he would work with machines, he would never have invented machines.

A) Other inventors of famous machines never made the same vow Edison made. (You can conclude from this answer that making vow doesn't necessary in order to invent machines. But it is very close to the answer if you interpret the stem like other inventors didn't make vow but they invented. And so could Edison do it, no matter he made the vow or not.)

B) Thomas Edison may have invented things other than machines had he not made his vow. (INCORRECT. Not stated in the text.)

C) Thomas Edison only invented machines that he dreamed up while still a child. (INCORRECT. Not stated in the text. He dreamed to work with machines, not to invent)

D) Thomas Edison may have become an inventor of machines even without making a vow as a child. (INCORRECT. Not stated in the text. Author's argumantation is not making vow make you inventor. His argumantation is working with machines makes you inventor.)

E) Edison's vow only referred to his working with machines, but not necessarily inventing them. (CORRECT. The main job in text is to find author's argumantation. As I stated above, author's argumantation is not "making vow make you inventor". His argumantation is "working with machines makes you inventor". So this sentene showes the flaw in the argument )
