Good luck with it!
Sloan is a well-respected MBA program with a strong career services team that has great success in placing their candidates. There's all kinds of info about it on their website: https://mitsloan.mit.edu/mba/career/index.php The top hiring industries after graduation are Consulting, Investment Banking/Brokerage, Software. They have full employment reports on their website too; an example statistic was that 95% of their 2008 graduates had a fulltime job offer within three months of graduation. That was the last "normal" year. Even in the midst of the downturn, 80% the 2009 graduates found jobs, which EssaySnark assumes is probably about what most of the schools experienced then. (No numbers are available for 2010 yet.)jalam1976 wrote: 1. What is the job prospects once MIT Sloan MBA is completed..Any information/experience on this will be well appreciated
GMAT or GRE scores are required for applying to Sloan. Their 80% range for the GMAT is rather wide, so they have flexibility in how they assess a candidate. As with all schools in their peer group, a strong academic history is important, too. The average GPA at most schools is around 3.4 or 3.5. Sloan puts a big emphasis on leadership experience, as do many other schools.jalam1976 wrote: 3. What plays major roles in MIT Sloan MBA selection..I believe, GMAT is not necessary
EssaySnark - who has an obvious bias, seeing that we're admissions consultants - feels that with such a competitive process, and such an important opportunity as bschool - and such a high potential to make an avoidable mistake in presentation - there are significant benefits to getting professional help with the bschool application process. Lots of people get into bschool without using a consultant, so it's not at all necessary. However, in our opinion, there are an awful lot of applicants who could have gotten in, had they gotten some help with things. Of course, there are good consultants and there are not-so-great ones, so caveat emptor: as you would with any major purchase or in seeking help from a trained professional like a doctor or a lawyer, be sure to do your research to find one that you're comfortable with and who comes with a good reputation. You're doing the right things by researching on forums like this and asking questions so it appears that you're approaching the process the right way.jalam1976 wrote: 6.
