If in a passage we examine both weakness and strength of a topic under examination, then is it "critique a methodology" ??
This is from Verbal OG Review. I thought to "critique a methodology" is only to write against it
Any thoughts ?

Critique is different from criticize. The former is exactly what you described in your question above. Whereas the latter is used in a negative context.
