I just came back from the exam, got a useless score of 620. Disappointing yes indeed , after 2 months of hard work this is not acceptable to me. I was hoping for a score of 700+ like everyone else*. I was consistently getting 680+ in practice test on both MGMAT and GMATPrep.
620 (47Q and 28V)
What went wrong ?
- I knew Verbal was weakness and I should focused more on verbal.
- I started taking the test as something that I needed to get over with rather than enjoying it.
I am definitely going to give it another shot, might give 3-4 till I get 700+. Bottom line I am not going to rest till I get a number that has 7 at the hundredths place.
Any suggestions /opinions?
Down but not out 620

I like your perserverence and i really appreciate that attitude. In my opinion, 2 months of preparation is just not enough. You may improve your Math skills but certainly not verbal esp when your mother tongue is not english.
Believe me! This kind of thought will never help you succeed not only in GMAT but also in any kind of work you do. I had the same kind of attitude during my first attempt and GMAT royally whacked me. Create a liking towards whatever you do.I started taking the test as something that I needed to get over with rather than enjoying it

Thanks. I agree with you my attitude was not right. This time I am going with a plan not only to improve my score but also my knowledge.
