Dietary fiber has benefits, but beyond 1 ounce a day, the benefits you can expect to derive by taking even more would be negligible.

A) by taking even more would be negligible

B) from further intake are negligible

C) from furthering intake are negligible

D) by taking further would be negligible

E) from further intake is negligible

OA is B

The sentence checks for subject verb as well as verb tense

A) by taking even more would be negligible
[would be is conditional where as derive - is present tense , eliminate ]

B) from further intake are negligible
[correct , agrees in verb ARE to the subject benefits(plural) and is in present tense ]

C) from furthering intake are negligible
[intake - verb , needs an adverb to modify intake and furthering - is a noun , eliminate]

D) by taking further would be negligible
[would be - conditional is used where present tense is required , eliminate]

E) from further intake is negligible
[benefits (plural) need plural verb IS (singular), eliminate]
"Know thyself" and "Nothing in excess"
