I know that in-state residents do have an advantage on admissions for undergraduate at UVA but wasn't sure if the same applies to grad school (Darden). I know financially there is an advantage as tuition is cheaper for in-state applicants but was wondering about acceptance rate.

Nope, unfortunately for VA residents, Darden cannot afford to favor locals as it could potentially skew their admissions stats and risk their ranking. For the MBA program, it does not provide any advantage to be from Virginia.
