GMAT dates

by anilbiradar » Sat Sep 29, 2007 1:10 am
Hi All,

I stumbled across this gold mine for GMAT aspirants today and am really amazed at the kind of knowledge and know-how shared for cracking the GMAT. I had a query here.

I am planning to take the GMAT in dec end so that i have my scores ready for the second round of MBA admission for fall 2008 at the US universities. Is this a right decision ?

Please suggest.

Thanks and Regards
Anil

Anil,

I think you and I are kind of in the same boat. I am looking to take the exam in November sometime and still apply for Fall 2008. Most people here paln well in advance and give it enough time sincegetting applications ready take time as well. I think the reason people take the exam earlier too is to leave some time for a retake, just in case they feel liek they can do better. You do know that the GMAT does not allow u to retake the exam for 31 days. So, you have to plan your applications accordingly.

I presume round II admissions is around jan 15?

Good luck though! I would probably push up my gmat test date from dec and go from there and the bulk of the attention goes to exam and by december u will have hardly any time to work on the rest of the apps stuff.

Hope this helps.

You should be fine if you're applying R2, but you may not have much time to retake the test if needed.
