Proper usage of present perfect tense (has been).

The OA is D.
Can you explain what made you decide the perfect tense.

I am poor in these tenses and may be any source where i can refer.

since the action is still continuing, 'was' is incorrect and should be replaced by has been

--> a,b,e are eliminated

c: no verb --> eliminated

--> d is the answer

At first i thought it was C , but then the entire sentence dint make sense together.
