I took the GMAT for the first time earlier this morning and I got a 640. I am not sure if I should retake the test. I feel like I am just average in quantitative and when the tougher questions come up that get you to those higher scores I normally get them wrong. I used the OG 12th Ed, Kaplan Premier Online, and I have GMAT advanced but did not get a chance to complete it before the test. I am a bit weaker at SC which I think I should review along with all my quantitative. I got at 650 and 600 on my GMAT Prep tests. I also took two Kaplan practice tests and scored a 600 and 570. I was wondering if you guys can give me any advice on how to raise my quantitative scores and sentence correction. I want to apply for fall 2010 but I'm not sure I can get into any schools with this score. I was hoping to apply to UCLA and USC but now they kind of seem like a long shot.

This is exactly like my situation. In all honesty, I've only had 2 months to study for the test and my scores are just like yours, except my GMAT is on Tuesday! Also, I am applying to the exact same schools you are, though I'm applying to the part time programs.
I really wish I could have found this site much MUCH earlier. It has been a godsend, though its really just helping me cram efficiently. Good luck to you and maybe I'll see you at Marshall or Anderson!
