more - plural/singular, count/noncount

by elemat » Sun Sep 27, 2009 12:07 pm
Is "more" singular or plural or both depending on context? Is it a count or noncount word ...or both?
Here are some examples below, can someone tell me if they are correct/incorrect?

I want more water.
I want more marbles.
More are arriving soon.
More of the hightway is under construction.
More of the apartments are experiencing power loss.

thanks in advance,
E
