In a certain daycare, are there more boys than girls?

(1) The number of girls is less than 3 times the number of boys.

(2) The number of boys is less than 3/4 the number of girls.

Lets say b = number of boys and g = number of girls.

The question : Is b > g ?

1) g < 3b : Does not imply that b > g. So INSUFFICIENT
2) b < 0.75g: Does imply that b < g. So SUFFICIENT

Hope that helps.
