IMO C....
IMO A and E wrong because there is no action doer.....i.e. the noun that can perform that action.....
Please correct me if I am wrong....

OA is C.
Using a computer model to estimate future productivity, the accuracy of such an estimate is higher than that achieved using more subjective methods.
"Ing modifier with comma" at the opening of the sentence - is a verb modifier and should be followed by a noun/ doer of the action.
Hence, A and E are ruled out.
C. If a Computer Model is used to estimate ...... , ....such an estimate...
such an estimate---- refers to Computer model estimate. Generic noun estimate repeated to refer the antecedent Computer model. Hence C is correct.
How, B & D are eliminated. It looks awkward compared to C.
My reasoning is as follows,
Pre-positional phrase "By ..." & "With ...." should have noun afert the phrase. Is this correct reasoning?
Please explain in detail.
regards,
hhk.

D says.....productivity with computer model.....it seems to say that productivity somehow use/possess computer model.....
Also estimating is not a correct tense use in D...we need simple tense....no need of present continuous....
IMO in B......"By the use" can be replaced by "using"....and follow the same noun/action doer issue.....
