GMAT 590.. what do I do?

by kbharadwaj.1987 » Tue Jul 28, 2009 2:55 am
Sir, I gave my GMAT today, and got a score of 590(quant-48, verbal-24).
What are my chances? What do I do?
Give it again? I don't have any functional experience and I have a GPA of 2.6.
Please let me know which B-school would be likely to accept me?

Thank you for your inquiry.

With a low GMAT, low GPA and no work experience, it sounds like this is not the right time in your life to be applying to business school. Schools want to accept candidates who have a clear path from their experience to their future goals and have proven that they can handle the rigors of a graduate level academic program. I don't think you have demonstrated either aspect yet, but with time you can improve on both the work experience and the GMAT and become a stronger candidate.

Good luck.
