Hi Guyz,

Please refer the attachment. Why is (C) incorrect? OA is (D) as shown.

Thanks much,
Rohit.

Rohit...

C would be

According to something, x and that y

while I feel it should be... According to something, x and y.

D says

Records indicate that x and that y... which I think is appropriate.

Hi rohit,

The sentence has a modifier issue.

According to records.....,young woman

is the correct construction and not each year.

The second error is 'that they used to dress...' they is ambiguous here and could refer to athean women as well as the statue.

D on the other hand corrects this error by using the construction ' with which they used to dress'

hope this helps.

"women is based" is wrong, so A, B is out

"indicate that ...and that" so E is out

"rope that ...and that rope" in C is wrong

I picked (D) (only reason being i liked robe with which)

I am unable to see a good reason to throw (C) out.

parallel construction.. with which they 'dressed' and 'depicted'
