This is tricky but once you understand the question it should be easy.

1 kilogram = 2.2 pounds
The question is how many 18ths of a kilogram are in a pound.
So let's first get the number of kilograms in a pound.
1 pound = 1/2.2 kilograms = 10/22 = 5/11 kilograms

Let's consider A to be to be the number that corresponds to number of eighteenths of kilogram in a pound.

So 1 pound = A/18 kilograms
But we know 1 pound = 5/11 kilograms
So A/18 = 5/11
A = 18 *5 /11= 90/11 ~=8 (B)

i say B.

The ques. is basically asking how many kg are there in a lb and to express it in 18ths.
1 kg = 2.2 lb so 1 lb = 1/2.2 kg

There are 1/2.2 kg in 1 lb
the next step is to express it in 18ths

1/2.2 = x/18
2.2x = 18

x~=8 hence B
