Q7:
What is the value of │x + 7│?
(1) │x + 3│= 14
(2) (x + 2)^2 = 169
From statement 1) x could be 11 or -17 not suff
From statement 2) (x+2)*(x+2)=169 x could be 11 or -15 not suff
Putting the two together x=11 the way I learned this is that if an answer overlaps in the two no need to go back to make sure it works.
So C
I dont see how it could be D each statement gives two possible answers unless something stated X is a pos. integer. Am I missing something?
