I'm not looking to get into the best business school, just an average school.
The average GMAT score is 600 for the school. The school looks at candidates as a whole and doesn't really have any requirements.
What can I do to get in?
My Profile:
2.4 undergrad GPA <<< will hurt me the most
2 years of part-time work experience (professional business internships)
1 year of full-time work experience (professional, with a fortune 500 company)
What GMAT score should I shoot for? 600?
Thanks.
i just want to get into an average school

Dear Dwight,
Admissions decisions are made on more than the numbers. It is not the quantity of your work experience as much as the quality. Likewise, your rationale for getting your MBA in relation to your past experience and future career goals is key. With a 2.4 GPA, it is important for you to do well on the GMAT to demonstrate you have the academic aptitude to succeed in business school. Since you are only 1 year out of school, there will be concern about your ability to succeed in the classroom, so you might consider taking a couple courses prior to applying to show you can do well. If the school's average is a 600, I would suggest trying to score significantly higher than that (650+) to mitigate your GPA. Finally, I would encourage you to really focus on your applications to ensure you are submitting the strongest application possible.
Good luck,
Lisa
