Stmt 1
x/y =1
so x =y Insuff

Stmt 2
XY=1
x =1 ,y =1 YEs
x =3, y = 1/3 No
So Insuff

Now, taking 2 together :

x = y ; xy =1

if xy has to be 1 and x =y , then there is no other value x =1
coz xy =1 , if x=y
putting it back x^2 =1
x= +1 or -1
but x>0
So, x =1

Hence C

f x and y are greater than 0, is x=1?

1) x/y=1

2) xy=1

a) x/y insuff

x and y can be any values..

b) xy = 1

x = 2 , y = 1/2

and many more values..

together

x = y

x^2 = 1

x= -1 or 1

but x > 0

so x = 1

choose C
