hey dkiran,
i highly appreciate your efforts to think of indian schools........ however ..... dont u think this info is incomplete without an idea of avg. gmat score used to enter these institutes........ :D

pl. dont take me otherwise.......

one thing i know bout them is that isb had avg gmat requirement of
690 one year back.............

i would be indebted to you(or anyone else) if you post similar data on iims also........

IIMA - avg age will be high(Compared to other b-schools in India) and the number of seats are very limited(<100). But the advantage will be a larger alumni(2-year MBA) and the reputation - Goldman Sachs only goes to IIMA and not sure whether it visited ISB last year.

You can refer to the GMATBulletin (the little Green Book) that you get when you register for the GMAT. It's also available at most Higher-Education help centers (such as USEFI in India).

The end of the book has a list of all the Indian schools that officially accept GMAT scores.

Sorry for replying late
following are
ISB Hydrabad
IIM Ahemdabad **
IIM Calcutta **
[**note that IIMs one year courses are known as PGPX program. they have some ad criteria such as student should be 27 year complete and has atleast 5 years of Work ex.and GMAT stale not more than 2 years]

Other b-schools also accept GMAT scores but they prefer the same from NRI (non-resident-Indians = Indians living abroad).
these schools are such as IIFT but then they do not offer one year program therefore i have not mentioned about them.
also there are other exec-PGDBM /MBA program offered by various schools but not sure whether they have GMAT mandatory
[ex?? SP Jain Mumbai ?? ]
........................
some Indian schools have campus abroad like SP Jain in Dubai & singapore (flagship in Mumbai)

So IIMs require the person to be aged about 27 yrs to get into it thru GMAT eh? What about XLRI? I saw in its official site that it accepts only NRIs to be admitted through GMAT and the rest should take XAT. Is it true?
And what about narsee monjee?
