We are asked hether kt is to the right of t.

we know k lies to left of T, if t is negative k is negative therefore kt is positive . So KT will lie to right of t.
Sufficient

k<1 this means k can be negative or a positive fraction, We cannot certainly say if kt is positive or negative.
