by gppp » Wed Nov 26, 2008 12:25 pm
Hi,

I am an Indian male.
I have 6+ years experience in IT,
I have done projects in Oil industry in Houston Tx for the last 3 years.
I have a GMAT score of 650.
Q 49, V 28 ).

Should I try at Mays/Rice or McCombs
or Should I rewrite the GMAT.

Thanks.

Dear gppp,

If you are considering the full-time programs at Mays, McCombs and Jones, then I think you should take the GMAT again. If you are looking at the part-time programs, then you might apply and see what happens. I think it will be hard for you to stand out from other applicants from India with IT experience at a 650 at these schools.

Good luck,
Lisa

I had a feeling that writing GMAT again was needed.
Are there any good bschool in US where I can get an admit with this score.
I do not need funding or scholarships.

You could consider smaller, regional programs who are not as concerned with rankings. With any business school, you will need to present a strong application package which presents a solid rationale for why you need a MBA and your overall career plan.

Good luck,
