Hi ukimgirl and thanks for your post. Let's take a look at your profile:

Academics: Your low undergrad GPA could raise a red flag with the admissions committee. It sounds like you may have a sound reason for the low GPA, but it's important to realize that your GPA is an important component of your academic profile. Your GMAT score is also a bit low and below average for the schools on your list. Given your low GPA and GMAT score, the adcom may have concerns about your ability to succeed in the classroom. It's important for you to highlight your quantitative abilities in your resume and perhaps even have your recommenders speak to your ability.

Work experience: This part of your profile seems quite interesting and may help set you apart from others in the applicant pool. Because your current job isn't necessarily common for bschool applicants, it will be important for you to to give a detailed description of your role and quantify the impact you've had to date.

Best of luck on your applications!

Regards,

Stacey

Dear Stacey:

Thank you sooooooo much for your evaluation.

Currently I have already submitted my application to UC IRVINE for round 2. However, I still haven't finish my MBAmath yet.

Do you think I should inform the admission office once I complete my MBAmath? Will that be helpful in justifying my QUANT skills? Or by the time I finish my MBAmath, which will be Dec.7th, it will be too late to send the transcript to the Admin, because the Round 2 deadline is Dec. 1st?

Thanks a lot for your time.

Hi,

I would go ahead and send them your MBAmath information once you receive it. Keep in mind that they may not take the new information into consideration. Most bschools won't technically accept new information after a deadline, but it never hurts to share it just in case.

Stacey
