Dear Ronnie,

From what you posted, my understanding of your question is whether or not to start an entrepreneurial venture knowing you want to enter business school in fall 2010. I guess my question back to you is why you are hesitating? If you believe in the business idea and think it will be successful, why wouldn't you pursue it? Schools do not view entrepreneurial experience negatively and think the experience will give you much to talk about in the classroom. If your venture is successful, you might want to include your plans for the business while you are in business school. For example, will you sell the company before school? turn over daily operations to your partner/trusted employee and then rejoin the business upon graduation? become a silent partner/investor and pursue another career after business school? If your venture fails, then the school will be interested in your lessons learned and perhaps how a MBA might have been helpful to you.

In essence, you need to decide what you want to do and which experience will be more beneficial to your development.

Good luck,
Lisa
