Outside Work
-For past three months outside work I have been working with a charter school as project manager, leading a team of 5
people from my company in streamlining schools operations.
-I am also running a small astrology business (thru website) with my parents on the side, my mom is a research scholar in Astrology. The reason for this was two fold one to revive the dying science of astrology and second to generate funds and data for her research. I developed website, marketing strategy and data analysis strategy for her business.
-I am also planning to join a dog rescue group, this is solely due to personal experience of having a dog.

Dear indiantiger,
Depending on how good of a writer you are, how well you do in your interviews, and what your recommenders say about you, I think you have a shot at your target schools with the profile you posted. However, I do think you have a list of 5 fairly selective schools with no true safety option. I don't know that you need to add or subtract schools--that depends on how many applications you want to write--but I do think you should identify and consider applying to a safety option as a backup plan if your end goal is to be in business school next fall. The essays, recommendations, and interviews will play a critical role in your decisions, so use those components to make your case for a seat and stand out from the competition.
Good luck,
Lisa

Generally speaking, safety schools are those where your profile is above average for the school and where the school is a good match in terms of curriculum and resources. For you, these are probably schools with GMAT averages at or below a 660 with strong entrepreneurship programs.

Lisa
