Hi Tushar

You have got a great extra-curricular record, you only need to present it well in form of your essays. Spread it across essay questions properly and do talk about unique experiences that set you apart from others.

Since your chosen specialisation is in Finance , you will need to show a passion for finance that confirm your choice. Have you taken any finance courses yet? If not, you could perhaps appear for online certifications or take CFA Level I in case time permits. However these certifications are not necessary but however since the specialisations are in finance , you will need to show your passion for it.

The GMAT score is fine and should be within competitive range. I am interested in knowing about 'Why Finance' , once that is sorted, you shoud start focussing on "Why XYZ Program" and this should take 2-3 weeks of your well-spent time.

All the best and get in touch for any further queries.

Hi
Thank you for your reply

I get your concerns for the '''why finance' thing. I will work on it. Thank you for highlighting it out.

However, my first priority is an MBA program. So could you tell me a little bit about my chances at IESE business school for the Young Talent Program.

Regards
Tushar Diwan.

Your GMAT score + UG GPA gives a strong academic indication and since YTP encourages international students to apply, you would have a good chance. About 100+ from 170 students are internationals.

Critical would be your recommendations and essays to stand out, since YTP needs 5 essays, it definitely puts a lot of weightage on them. I recommend you to start working on them well in time and do not make any mistakes that generally happen at the last minute.

I would finally say that how you plan and execute your application would set you apart from others.

Hi,
Thank you for your reply.

I've written 4 essays for the IESE YTP. But I'm having trouble making an outline for the 5th essay.

The topic is : You consider yourself a young talent and suitable for this program because...

Could you please highlight a few points that I could write in this essay. I'm too confused.

Thanks
