Hi Abhishek,

ISB evaluates applicants based on 3 parameters - Academic performance, leadership potential and personality attributes for Early Entry Option. So your academic performance looks average so you need to compensate that with 700+ GMAT score. Leadership potential and your personality attributes are more qualitative and these will be measured only by your ISB essays. So start focusing on your GMAT preparation and application simultaneously. If you wait till you take GMAT in August then you will loose time and end up giving very less time for essays.

If you happen to based out of Bangalore, you may attend an MBA workshop organized by the alumni of ISB and admission director of ISB. For more information and registration visit https://goo.gl/GjmFdu

Manish

For EEO applicants, there is not much scope for work experience to get evaluated, hence academic records, GMAT and ECs play a great role. ECs will demonstrate your abilities to work in unison with teams, while depicting your strengths and passions. To gain competitive advantage, you need to aim for a GMAT as high as 720 as your academic records may fall short of expectations. You need to focus on your GMAT prep first and then concentrate on demonstrating your potential through your essays.

What does 8.08 CGPA translate to in 4.0 GPA? Just curious, if you don't mind.

Does that mean B- then? Not trying to give you a hard time; just still wondering what the equivalency is.

8.08 should be 3.4 out of 4 in your GPA system. I am not really sure about which grade it might be.
