I had quite a shocking incident during my last GMAT exam but what has been more shocking is the response from PearsonVue in the past week. This is sadly what happens with the monopoly the GMAT has become.

During my live GMAT exam a little over 10 days ago, the computer immediately and without
warning closed the browser, and started installing
windows  updates in the midst of the exam. In shock, I immediately alerted the Test Administrator who scrambled around before switching on another computer and logging me on. This whole time my timer was counting and I ended up almost loosing 3 mins of exam time. The TA reported the whole thing as a testing incident at the end of the exam.

After 7 business days of constant phone calls and emails going back and forth with the terrible customer service at Pearsonvue. I was informed by the Supervisor Julia, that the actual loss of time was 56 secs, (which is actually untrue, there is CCTV at the test center to prove this.) It was under one minute and furthermore nothing could be done and no compensation will be granted.

I received another email this time completely denying there was a loss of time. Which is very infuriating considering there is clear proof that there was. (All anyone needs to do is watch the CCTV)

I am confused at how they could say there was no loss of time? And how
it is possible to get these conflicting results from the same company? When there is very clearly proof that this happened. And was even reported by the Test Administrator. Even if it was 56secs (which is not the case)Since it is clearly impossible for GMAC to add 56secs to a candidates time during the exam, no matter what, there is no justification to have that taken out of my time through no fault of mine.

I rejected these findings and requested for further investigation. I am confident because there is proof. But instead got an email saying this was the final resolution. I am so angry, i feel very cheated by the bully PearsonVue/GMAT who think they can act this way because there is no competition, sad fact I need the GMAT to get into business school. (GRE not accepted in my target school). I have contacted GMAC directly and reported as well. Will appreciate any advice on dealing with this matter.
