IMO E

To separate is IDIOMATIC here...sounds better than separating..

such [adj] as [noun] is IDIOMATIC.

Here hazardous wastes serve the same purpose. Although I am reluctant to call wastes as part of an adjective. Or maybe it is an adjective clause which is also ok to use.

NVM E sounds better.

.
"AS" is used with things that as essentially similar.... "hazardous waste" is smiliar to "pesticides, batteris, fertilizers" etc etc

"LIKE" is used to compare unlike things...
eg: his perfume smells like oranges

therefore, E is the right answer

Hope this helps.
