A certain movie despicted product A in 21 scenes, product B in 7 scenes, product C in 4 scenes and D in 3 scenes. The 4 product were paid proportionally to the number of scenes. If each manufacturer paid X dollars per scene, how much product D pay?
1) product A plus product B account for $560,000
2) Product B was paid 60,000 more then product C
Answer is D, how can you tell how mcuh you paid for the other product?

Since each manufacturer paid same amount ie "X"$ per scene. It is becomes easy to know the value of any product paid once we have data of at least one.isisalaska wrote:how can you tell how mcuh you paid for the other product?
in this case A is clearly sufficient.
for B also it says 7X-4X=60,000 that means value of X can be calculated...
hence each option individually is sufficient

Statement I alone : 21x + 7x = 560,000
28x = 560,000
x = 560,000/28 = 20,000
Therefore D paid x * 3 = 60,000
Hence alone is sufficient
Statement II alone : 7x - 4x = 60,000
3x = 60,000
x = 20,000
Therefore D paid 20,000 * 3 = 60,000
Hence answer is D
